Carter's Room

We got Carter's room done this week. Dave had a day off of work this week and was in between classes so he had no homework. It worked out great! He was able to pound out the painting and we were able to put the room back together on Thursday. The walls and dresser still look kind of bare so we still have some accessories to buy to fill the room up. But for the most part the room is ready for little Carter when he decides to come. Ellie has been really good about this whole transition process. However, on Thursday, she insisted that Carter's room was still Ellie's room. It was pretty funny! I guess she wants her big girl room and her baby room both. LOL!! Here are some pictures I took of Carter's room.

Here is Carter's crib. For those of you that remember where we had Ellie's crib we moved it kind of diagnol into the corner to make more room for the rocker.

Here's a closer view inside the crib so you can see the bumper.

Here's view of the wall with the wall art.

Here's a view of the other corner of the the same wall with the rocker.

Here is the opposite wall with the changing dresser and chest of drawers. My grandfather Zettle made the shelf back in 1983, I believe, and the lamp sometime in the 80's as well. It means a lot to me to have those 2 pieces in Carter's room.

Well that's it. A room fit for a little boy. I must say the it does look much better in person than in these pictures. We just need to get some more fire accessories and a rug to make it look a little more homey and we'll be all set. I found myself sitting in that comfy rocking chair a couple of times while we were working in the room on Thursday and still can't believe in about 10 weeks we're going to have another little baby in our family. It's very surreal!
