So I'm late, once again, with Carter's 10 month post. I've been gone a lot this month and I'm just now getting around to it.
The main things that Carter has done new since 9 months are eating more "big boy" food and he is getting around even better these days.
Carter had his first "big boy" lunch on Valentine's Day. He had grilled cheese, apple chunks and peas. He loved it all and shoveled it in as fast as he could. The rest of the month was touch and go with table food. He would go back and forth with wanting it and wanting baby food. So we just let it go and let him tell us what he wanted.
On March 4th & 5th he started pushing our dining room chairs or Ellie's chairs from her little table to walk with. He walks all over the living room and dining room until he gets hung up on a rug, wall or furniture. Then he gets really mad when he can't go any farter. He lets go of one thing to go to another and stands on his own for several seconds at a time before grabbing on to something else or sitting down to crawl.
Carter has also started to clap his hands when he's excited and he does "so big". It's so very cute and he loves to look around and see who is watching him do his tricks.
He can hold his bottle. That is if he wants to. He's capable but I think prefers to have Mom or Dad do it. He still has a little trouble getting it high enough to get the milk out.
Here's the Little Man at the Kohl's Children's Museum in Glenview, IL.
Carter's First Valentine's Day
By the way, he loves to play with remotes and phones of any kind.
Who could possibly resist those big brown eyes?
Carter loves to crawl over and see Halligan. Trooper's smart, he just gets up and moves.
Here he is helping Daddy with a project. This is the first of many to come!
