Our new little one is due May 17th, 2006. As of tomorrow I will be 16 weeks along. I have neglected getting any documenting done with this pregnancy due to our kitchen remodel project this fall. So I've got some making up to do. I felt pretty yucky in the beginning. I was nautious all day and basically had to eat constantly. I was extremely tired, wanted to just sleep all the time. Poor Elle, we spent a lot of time in the family room so Mommy could sit on the couch. I started to come out of that at about 9 weeks. I started to have more energy and able to force myself to not nap at about 12 - 14 weeks. As of right now, I'm feeling pretty good. Tired but that's to be expected. It's getting harder and harder to carry Elle around. She's trying to be a big girl but certain times a day it's just hard. My back is really paying the price. It's pretty sore. As for body changes, I did not gain any weight between 8 & 12 weeks. I'm sure that has changed now! My belly feels like it's getting bigger by the day. I've been in maternity clothes a coupld of days in the past week. I seem to be in that awkward stage between regular clothes and maternity clothes. I have only 1 pair of regular jeans that fit. I have a couple of maternity pants that fit pretty well but the others are still way to big. I'm sure that will change quickly. Here are our first ultrasound pictures from Nov. 6th. We were almost 13 weeks at this point. These were take at our perinatologist's office where we had a genetic screening done. Everything came back normal!

This is a profile view of the baby. You can see the head and belly. Yes, that is a hand up by the mouth. We think it might be a thumb sucker. The hand was up there the whole time it was awake during the ultrasound.

This is our precious little alien. It's pretty detailed. You can see the eyes, nose and mouth. You can even see fingers and toes. It's pretty amazing that it's so detailed this early on, especially since it was only just under 11 cm long at the time.
We are hoping to have another ultrasound before Christmas. We will be able to find out the sex of the baby then. We have our next visit with our OB Dec. 5th.

How awesome is this??? I'm getting more and more of that bio-tick going. I can't wait too much longer! We seem to be talking more and more about having a baby. Your blog is fueling the fire! I'm so glad the tests came out normal. Whoo Hooo! I'm also placing my bets right now... You're having a boy.
HOW FUN!! Thanks for sharing Shan :)
